Explore Aerospace allows students from 6th-12th grade the opportunity to gain aerospace-based education. The Explore Aerospace Program Directors will manage the program's volunteer instructors and all aspects of the program. The program will be offered as a 12-week course each Spring and Fall semesters. The sessions will be conducted on Saturdays from 11:45 pm EST - 1:00 pm EST from February - May, and September - December. 


This is a NON-PAID - volunteer position.


The responsibilities of the Explore Aerospace Assistant Program Director include the following:


Assist in overseeing the Explore Aerospace Program by managing, hiring, and onboarding volunteer instructors.


Assist the Director with the management of curriculum development through the use of volunteer curriculum development.


Serve as an instructor when needed.


Serve as the primary point of contact for guest speakers.


Ensure student swag bags, including Explore Aerospace T-Shirts, are delivered to students promptly. 


Conducting Parent Orientation Briefings and Virtual Awards Ceremonies each semester. 


Managing communication with parents and students throughout the duration of the program. 


Managing the attendance of program enrollees.
