Aerospace Professionals In Schools (APIS) Outreach Coordinator

  • Collaborate with school system leadership to introduce OBAP programs, namely APIS, emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in aerospace.
  • Facilitate the scheduling and coordination of APIS visits to schools, ensuring a seamless experience for both volunteers and students.
  • Volunteer Recruitment and Placement:
  • Identify and connect with aerospace professionals in the local area who are interested in volunteering with OBAP.
  • Assess the skills, expertise, and interests of potential volunteers and suggest suitable
  • roles within OBAP programs.
  • Provide support and guidance to volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Attend community events, conferences, and meetings to promote OBAP and its mission.

Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of school engagements, volunteer interactions, and community partnerships and report out to regional liaison Bi -Weekly
  • Stay informed about trends and developments in the aerospace industry and education sector.
  • Engage weekly with regional liaison about upcoming events, the status of ongoing/recurring events, and about recruitment goals in your area.
